Foster A Horse
Foster homes offer a place of refuge for an equine, a place where food and love abound, until an appropriate adoptive home can be found for him or her.
PER acknowledges the cost that homes incur while caring for a horse. So we COVER ALL EXPENSES. All you have to do is offer a place in your pasture with shelter and have love in your heart to give.
Often the best thing these rescued horses need is to see that human beings can be kind. A gentle touch, a few treats, some soft words, (even a lullaby) can do wonders for a horse whose spirit has been broken.
And the reward of fostering a horse is ENORMOUS. Seeing a horse come alive with you, seeing his body fill out and his coat start to shine, seeing the look of gratitude in his eyes--there is nothing like it.

Ginger is a small 10 yr. old mule. She is very sweet, but has trust issues at times. She would make a great companion for a horse or another donkey.
Tornado is a 19 yr. old TWH gelding. He is easy to handle and gets along with other horses.
Racer is a 5 year old Arabian gelding. He leads, loads, ties, lunges and enjoys baths. He is also good with the farrier. He is very sweet and has lots of potential. He has
recently been started under saddle and is doing very well.

Walker is a 11 yr. old TB gelding. He will do well in a home that is familiar with handling thoroughbreds, since he can be a little “pushy”. He is a big boy, so an experienced handler would be more suitable for him. He gets along well with other horses, but would do better with a more dominant horse. He would also require a home with lots of turnout and no stalling.

Maggie is a very sweet donkey. She has some trust issues with strangers. She cannot be on lush pasture, due to her obesity; she is on a very limited grain diet.
