On Dec 18th, PER rescued Russ

This horse was rescued on 12-18-09 from a case of neglect. The owner was unemployed and not able to feed him anymore, so he voluntarily surrendered him to PER investigators. He was definitely a horse that was "in trouble" and well on his way downhill. The horse known at "Russ" is currently in rehabilitation. After that he will go to a trainer for evaluation and then be put up for adoption. Donations are appreciated to get this horse back on the road to a full recovery.
Update: 1-21-10 Russ has been adopted by the Parkers of Cantonment, FL.
